FreeSpace® Installer™ Software version 2.0 (software index)

FreeSpace Installer software version 2.0 is the current release version of FreeSpace Installer software and only supports the FreeSpace E4 Series II hardware.  FreeSpace Installer version 2.0 includes FreeSpace E4-II microcontroller version 2.0.n.6.

FreeSpace Installer software version 2.0 is only compatible with E4 Series II hardware, if you are installing or servicing a E4 system with a manufacturing date code prior to 4256 you will need to use FreeSpace Installer version 1.2.1 for the system set up and configuration.

FreeSpace Installer version 2.0 supports the following features and functions that are included with the FreeSpace E4 Series II hardware:

  • Page Gain Mode for both Push to Talk and Auto Detection paging

  • Opti-Source™ input level management

  • Multi-zone paging support

What is the FreeSpace Installer Software?

The FreeSpace Installer software is used for the set up of the FreeSpace E4 system electronics.  The Installer software allows the user to create the system configuration consisting of the input and output gains, speaker and zone EQ settings, paging set up, configure and calibrate the Auto Volume function, and create the system automation schedule.  The Installer software is also used to view the system error log for system troubleshooting purposes.

 

How do I determine my version of the FreeSpace Installer software?

When you launch the FreeSpace Installer software the version number is displayed at the bottom of the start up screen, and is displayed in the upper left hand corner of the application window when the application is active. 

 

The current version of FreeSpace Installer software is 2.0.

 

How do I upgrade my version of FreeSpace Installer software?

Upgrading your copy of FreeSpace Installer software is as simple as installing a new version.  Links to the versions are included in the revision history list. 

 

Note that the installation utility does not remove old versions of the software.  To remove old versions of the software you must use the built in Windows Add/Remove Programs control panel.
