FreeSpace® Installer™ Software version 1.2.1 (software index)

FreeSpace Installer software version 1.2.1 is the current release version of FreeSpace Installer, and was released with FreeSpace E4 microcontroller version 1.1.n.10.

  • Corrected problem that caused design file to be corrupted when saved to E4 system hardware when the system was configure to operate in 100V mode, and subzone information was entered in the Zone Setup control panel.
  • When a corrupted design file is detected in E4 system hardware user is now notified and asked to check all system settings before flashing the system configuration.

  • AGC time constants have been adjusted to reduce reported "pumping."
  • Notice that there are two versions of host code included with this distribution. The xxx100Vxxx version should be used when the E4 is configured as a 100V amplifier. The xxx70Vxxx version should be used when the E4 is configured as a 70V amplifier.
  • The wall plate scanning rate has been changed so that a single button press no longer results in multiple 2dB volume changes.
  • The default value for the 12V output on the Aux-Output connector has been changed. This output is now On (12V) when the E4 is On.

FreeSpace Installer Software FAQ

 

What is the FreeSpace Installer Software?

The FreeSpace Installer software is used for the set up of the FreeSpace E4 system electronics.  The Installer software allows the user to create the system configuration consisting of the input and output gains, speaker and zone EQ settings, paging set up, configure and calibrate the Auto Volume function, and create the system automation schedule.  The Installer software is also used to view the system error log for system troubleshooting purposes.

 

How do I determine my version of the FreeSpace Installer software?

When you launch the FreeSpace Installer software the version number is displayed at the bottom of the start up screen, and is displayed in the upper left hand corner of the application window when the application is active. 

 

The current version of FreeSpace Installer software is 1.2.

 

How do I upgrade my version of FreeSpace Installer software?

Upgrading your copy of FreeSpace Installer software is as simple as installing a new version.  Links to the versions are included in the revision history list. 

 

Note that the installation utility does not remove old versions of the software.  To remove old versions of the software you must use the built in Windows Add/Remove Programs control panel.
